Job Description:

The Willowgrove Program Staff are responsible for helping the Programs Coordinator with the development and execution of program areas at camp. The Head of Art position oversees leading the Specialty Arts program for our Sophomore and Senior divisions, as well as assisting with leading the Arts and Crafts program for other divisions and any other programs as needed. During the spring, the Head of Arts will assist in organizing and purchasing art supplies as well as getting the camp prepared for the summer.

Training/Prep

Staff Training Dates: June 7, 8, 21 22

Program Prep: June 19

Camp Property Set Up: June 24, 25, 26

Program Training: June 27

All staff training dates are mandatory unless other arrangements have been made with the Camp Manager.

Must be available to all 8 weeks of the summer.

Camp Weeks

Week 1: June 30 - July 4

Week 2: July 7 – 11

Week 3: July 14 - 18

Week 4: July 21 - 25

Week 5: July 28 - Aug 1

Week 6: August 5 - 8

Week 7: August 11 - 15

Week 8: August 18 - 22


Position Requirements:

● Age 18+ with a minimum 2 years of camp experience

● A background in the arts

● Pursuing art or art education in post secondary is an asset

● Experience teaching art skills is an asset

● Strong verbal communication skills

● Standard First Aid/CPR-C (not required but strongly recommended)

● Clean vulnerable sector police record check
