Willowgrove Day Camp is nestled on an idyllic 100-acre farm, offering a charming blend of hands-on, nature-based learning experiences and classic camp activities for children from JK to Grade 10.
Housed on the Greenbelt between Markham and Stouffville, conveniently located near the 404, Willowgrove provides an ideal setting for your child’s summer. Home to old-growth forests, natural water features, friendly farm animals, and many groomed trails, Willowgrove Day Camp promises unforgettable experiences that will grow into cherished childhood memories.
Life At Camp
Since 1968, campers have returned to Willowgrove Day Camp, year after year, for fun-filled, and unforgettable summer camp experiences!
A week spent at Willowgrove is an investment in the wellbeing of your child! Your camper will spend their day outdoors in the serenity of the Greenbelt, experiencing the personal growth, confidence-building, and lifelong friendships that blossom in a supportive camp environment.
A Typical Day At Camp
At Willowgrove Day Camp there’s something for every age group!
8:00 AM Before Care
Families who require extended camp hours can pre-register for our before care program.
9:00 AM Arrival
Participants check in upon arrival and take part in a variety of supervised activities while we wait for everyone to arrive. Children are walked to their cabin group area by a member of our staff team . Once everyone’s gathered, the fun warm-up games begin.
9:30 AM Activity Areas + Wide Game (Grade 3+)
Cabin groups travel around to one of our amazing activity areas following their designated schedule. Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Divisions (JK - Gr. 4) take part in our Classic camp program where they get to experience a little bit of everything. Sophomore and Seniors (Gr. 5 - 8) participate in specialty programs in the morning (Athletics and Creative Arts), then dive into Classic camp activities in the afternoon. Participants in the Intermediate, Sophomore, and Senior Divisions take part in camp-wide games like capture the flag and four way soccer twice a week.
10:00 AM Snack (JK to Gr. 2)
Primary and Junior groups get a short break to sit in the shade and refuel with a snack sent from home. Once the snack is done, it’s back to activity areas!
11:30 PM Lunch
All cabin groups have a designated area to eat lunch in the shade followed by special lunch time activities.
12:00 PM Activity Areas
Cabin groups continue travelling to new activity areas for more great experiences.
1:00 PM Swimming
Each cabin group participates in their own instructional swim time daily, with a free swim on Fridays.
1:30 PM Tuck
It’s time to take a break and get a freezie!
2:00 PM Activity Areas
After a refreshing freezie break, it's back to the scheduled activities with their group!
4:00 PM Departure + After Care
Participants are escorted to the pickup areas where they eagerly await you to share all about their day. Children are then released into the care of individuals on your authorized pick up list. You may also pre-register your child in our after care program, available from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM
Activities at Willowgrove Day Camp
Willowgrove offers a wide-range of engaging programs that are designed to inspire and educate campers of all ages.
From hands-on nature exploration and skill-building activities like canoeing and climbing, to creative arts and sports activities, each program fosters personal growth, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors. Plus, with unique initiatives like the Take Root Farm Project, and Peace & Reconciliation lessons, campers also gain valuable knowledge and character building skills that last a lifetime.

Summer Camp Program
JK - Grade 8
Campers must be 4 years old by the start of the camp week. Registration Divisions are by grade as of Fall 2025.
All registrations received by December 31 will save with 2024 rates!

LEAD Youth Program
Grade 9 - 11
Empower your teen with the LEAD program, designed for youth going into grades 9 and 10 to develop essential leadership skills while engaging in exciting camp activities! LEADers will learn teamwork, communication, and inclusivity, all while making lasting friendships and unforgettable memories in a supportive environment.

Early Bird Rates
All registrations received by December 31st will receive 2024 fees for their 2025 weeks! Discount will automatically be applied to the cart during registration.
Willowgrove’s Helping Hand Program
The Helping Hand Program was created to ensure that children have access to Willowgrove’s programs by providing support in the form of Subsidies and additional Support Workers. The Helping Hand Program works to remove obstacles, create inclusive and welcoming community, and to provide life-changing experiences to those who may otherwise miss out on these opportunities.

Registration Details
Our camp fee includes a camp t-shirt, daily freezie, and electronic cabin group photo. As our camp program operates on a weekly basis, registration is required for the entire week. Day-to-day registrations are not possible.
Registration Deposit and Payment Options
Registrations must be accompanied by a $200 deposit per child; the balance is required by June 1, 2025. After June 1, 2025, full payment is required upon registration unless alternate payment agreements have been made with the Camp Manager. Payment options, including monthly payment options, are provided upon registration. If you require a customized payment plan, please contact the office and we will be more than happy to discuss options with you.
Refunds and Cancellations
If your summer plans change, we will do our best to accommodate your child in another camp week. If this is not possible, a full refund will be given if notice of cancellation is provided at least one month prior to the camp week in question. A refund will be not be provided after the one month deadline unless medical note has been provided.

Getting To Camp
Drop off for camp is at 9:00 am. We are located at 11737 McCowan Road just west of Stouffville. Please enter the property via our laneway off McCowan Road and follow direction to the appropriate drop-off spot. Please note that Willowgrove Day Camp does not offer busing services.

Day Camp Staff
Our staff are such an important part of the Willowgrove Day Camp experience! Ask our campers what they like best about Willowgrove Day Camp and it won’t be long before you hear the names of a counsellor or staff member.
Many of our counsellors and staff members have a long-standing history at Willowgrove that involved coming up through the ranks as campers, LEADers, lifeguards, leadership staff and supervisors. All have the following things in common:

Meet our Recreation Director, Maeyken!
Maeyken brings a wealth of experience to Willowgrove Day Camp, having dedicated six years to Fraser Lake Camp, where she honed her skills in creating memorable camp experiences. As the former Camp Director and now the Recreation Director at Willowgrove, she combines her passion for outdoor education with her background in community engagement to inspire campers to connect with nature and each other. With a commitment to fostering a nurturing and adventurous environment, Maeyken is excited to lead programs that promote personal growth and lasting friendships among campers.
Meet our Camp Manager, Sarah!
Sarah is a certified teacher with a deep passion for child-centered education, having previously served as our Nature School Teacher before stepping into the role of Camp Manager at Willowgrove Day Camp. With extensive experience in various child-focused organizations, she is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow through hands-on experiences in nature.
