Job Description:

The Willowgrove Camper Inclusion team is responsible for overseeing our Helping Hand program and providing support for campers who require extra assistance. The Helping Hand program is offered free of charge to children who need additional support while at camp. Children who take part in this program may require extra assistance due to known behavioural difficulties, diagnosed disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, or just going through a tough time and need extra emotional support. Camper Inclusion Staff are assigned up to 3 campers in our Helping Hand program each week. They are responsible for communication with the Inclusion Coordinator before camp to get to know the child as well as during camp regarding any issues or progress, assisting cabin counsellors to provide a smooth and positive experience, and making any schedule modifications necessary for the child. Each child will be placed in separate cabin groups so it is important that staff are able to manage their time and feel comfortable moving between groups.
