Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and additional training in leadership, organizational conflict resolution, financial management, etc.
Experience: 5 – 10 years relevant experience in the not-for-profit sector.
Significant management, administrative, and visionary leadership experience in a similar organization such as outdoor education, community programming, camps (day and overnight), rural recreational and farm programming.
Flexible hours are required over a daily, seasonal, and annual basis.

Full Time/Salaried: Up to a 1 Year contract with the possibility of extension
Willowgrove is seeking an Executive Director with a passion for leading a staff team who work with children and youth in an out of doors setting; you understand financial management and have strong organizational, relational and communication skills and who is a visionary and strategic leader. Working with and reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director supervises the senior staff team.

Team Leadership and Change Management
Overseeing staff, facilitating effective teamwork, and respecting all staff and volunteers within a collaborative problem-solving framework. Leading with sensitivity to the anxiety that leadership and structural change can cause for staff, membership, partners, etc.
Program Review and Development Leadership
Able to support the strengthening of current programs while leading the development of new programs relevant to Willowgrove’s community
Values-based Leadership with Communication and Relational Understanding and Skills
Provide leadership within the Vision, Mission and Values of Willowgrove while ensuring that all communication furthers relationship building
Financial Visioning and Management
Overseeing a million dollar plus budget and supporting staff in managing their individual program budgets. Working with the Board on establishing financial and program targets
Human Resources Skills and Knowledge
Experience and knowledge and skill in implementing best practices in managing human resources processes within short and long-term staffing goals
Organizational Leadership in a not-for-profit setting
Implementing legislation, employment standards, and quality standards relevant to the not-for-profit sector, supporting the nine-member Board of Directors and facilitating membership engagement
Strategic Thinking
Seeing the bigger picture and direction of Willowgrove with the Board, and how to deliver practical results within the current 2024-28 Strategic Plan
Vision-casting
Inspiring/focusing the Willowgrove community and stakeholders towards its vision, mission, and values
