Inclusion Counsellor

As an inclusion counsellor, you are part of the Camp Staff. You will be assigned to look after a specific camper who has a known disability within a cabin group. You are to ensure that general needs of this camper are met throughout their time at camp. As part of the Camp Life Staff, you must also respect and follow the rules and policies of Fraser Lake Camp. Some of the weekly tasks that you will perform are:

• Integrate the camper into the regular cabin and program areas / Brainstorm with the Inclusion Coordinator on creative ways to integrate your camper into daily camp life

• Assist the other counsellors in the cabin with daily activities such as cabin clean up, nightly devotions etc.

• Help integrate the one-on-one camper into program activities, special event days, wide game, campfire and morning watch

• Report any issues with your one-on-one camper to the Inclusion Coordinator

• Be prepared to go above and beyond your job description! ☺
